Material required for sketching

The basic material required for sketching are :

  • Pencils
  • Blending materials
  • Erasers
1) Pencils:
We find two kinds commonly known pencils:

  • Regular pencils
  • Mechanical pencils

2) Blending Materials
Many people use their fingers to blend. There can be a great mes as your dirty hands can spoil the sketch I prefer Tissues(for larger areas) and Tortillions(paper rolls with sharp end, for petite areas).

3)Erasers:
There are two kinds of erasers- regular(for larger areas and big mistakes) and kneaded( for petite and areas like hair. These erasers can be sharpened and shaped according to our own wish).

Hope you have these for start up.
Happy Sketching

Start to sketch

When you have an imagination, go ahead, pick a pencil and a paper and start scribbling.
Start NOW..!!
It is inexpensive and the most expressive way to show people what you think. Even if it is just lines, it is your work. Here is some tips to start:

  1. Start with any kind of pencil,"2B" or "HB".
  2. Draw a small object. Whatever first comes to your mind. It can be a box, a fruit, or anything that is kept in front of you.
  3. Don't hold pencil to near to the tip. Hold it from the middle of pencil's body.
Start with these baby steps.
